Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Eszter Armstead (“Front Range Doula,” “we,” “us”) collects and uses information when you visit frontrangedoula.com, use the website chat assistant, or use the private birth preferences questionnaire (invite-only).

Who we are

Front Range Doula provides birth doula and postpartum doula services in the Colorado Front Range. Contact: hello@frontrangedoula.com.

Chat and lead information

When you use the on-site chat assistant, you may choose to share personal information, including:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Due date or timing of your baby’s arrival
• Birth setting (for example home, hospital, or birth center)
• Preferred contact time
• Pregnancy, birth, or postpartum messages you type in chat
• The full chat transcript for that conversation

We also receive standard technical data from our hosting and security providers (for example IP address, browser type, and timestamps). If you email us directly at hello@frontrangedoula.com, we receive your message and email address.

Birth preferences (invite-only)

If Eszter invites you to the private birth preferences questionnaire (accessed only via a secure email link or one-time code at /birth-plan/), we may collect and store:

• Your name, email address, and optional phone number
• Due date, birth setting, language preference, and questionnaire answers
• Discussion flags and narrative statements you approve for your plan
• Versioned PDF copies of your birth preferences
• Technical authentication data (for example hashed magic-link or one-time codes, and session cookies limited to the birth-plan area)

We use this information to help you prepare birth preferences with Eszter, deliver a secure PDF download, and support your care team as you choose. Preference answers and PDF files are encrypted before storage. The questionnaire is not linked from the public site menu, sitemap, or AI crawl files, and we do not place advertising or analytics pixels on birth-plan pages.

When you finalize your birth preferences and an official PDF is released, we may also email a copy of that PDF to authorized practice staff mailboxes via Resend so Eszter can keep an office archive.

Retention: finalized or officially released plans are kept up to 24 months after finalization (unless you ask us to delete sooner). Drafts with no activity for 12 months may be deleted. You may request deletion by emailing hello@frontrangedoula.com; we aim to fulfill deletion within 30 days.

Health-related information

You may share pregnancy, birth, or postpartum details in chat or in the birth preferences questionnaire. This information is sensitive. We use it only to respond to you, prepare for doula support, gather intake or preference details for Eszter, and produce documents you request. We do not sell your information. We are not a covered entity under HIPAA; this site is not a patient portal and we do not claim HIPAA-certified hosting.

Automated assistant and AI

The chat is an automated assistant on Cloudflare’s network. Your messages may be processed by Cloudflare Workers AI (including our frontrangedoula-faq AI Search index) and by indexed site content (public service information and FAQ-style knowledge) to generate replies. The assistant is not Eszter, is not a human, and does not provide medical advice.

In the birth preferences questionnaire, optional features also use Cloudflare Workers AI (@cf/zai-org/glm-4.7-flash): the in-app help panel (answers drawn from the same FAQ-style knowledge base) and optional narrative polish (suggested wording based on your template text). These features are not medical advice and do not replace Eszter’s review. For personalized care, booking, or complex questions, Eszter follows up personally using the contact details you provide.

How we use information

• Answer questions and collect intake details for Eszter to review
• Run the invite-only birth preferences questionnaire and deliver secure PDF downloads
• Contact you about doula services you requested
• Operate, secure, and improve the website and chat
• Comply with legal obligations when required
• Send short staff notifications when new leads or birth-plan milestones need attention

Staff notifications (Signal)

To help Eszter respond quickly, an automated service on our private homelab server polls authenticated feeds from our Cloudflare Workers (new chat leads and birth-plan milestone events). It sends brief summary messages via Signal to authorized practice staff phones. These messages may include your name, phone or email, due date, birth setting, and milestone status (for example “client reviewing” or “official PDF released”). They do not include your full chat transcript or complete questionnaire answers. Signal is used only as a notification channel to staff, not for storing your records.

Storage and retention

Chat and lead data are stored in Cloudflare Workers and KV so Eszter can review inquiries. Birth preferences use a separate Cloudflare Worker with encrypted database (D1), session storage (KV), and encrypted PDF objects (R2).

• Conversation records (active chat sessions): retained for up to seven days, then they expire automatically.
• Lead records (contact and intake you shared in chat): kept for business follow-up until deleted on request or no longer needed. Lead records do not expire automatically.
• Birth preferences: encrypted answers and PDFs retained as described in “Birth preferences (invite-only)” above (24 months after finalization; 12 months idle drafts; deletion on request within 30 days).

Your browser keeps the active chat only for the current tab session — when you close the tab, that conversation ID is not stored for a later visit. Birth-plan sign-in uses a short-lived session cookie limited to the birth-plan path.

Security check (Turnstile)

Before you open the chat — and on birth preferences sign-in — Cloudflare Turnstile may run a brief bot check. Turnstile processes technical signals only; it does not receive the content of your chat messages or birth-plan answers.

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC), measurement ID G-PN03B2CDQ9, to understand site traffic — for example which pages are viewed and how visitors find the site. Google may set cookies or use local storage in your browser for this purpose. Google may collect and process data about your visit and associate that data with the visitation information Google Analytics collects from this site. This policy is how we disclose that collection and processing to you. Front Range Doula operates Google Analytics only with this privacy notice in place. For access, correction, or deletion of chat or lead information you shared with us, see “Your rights and deletion requests” below.

Service providers (processors)

We do not sell personal information. We use Cloudflare as a processor for website hosting, CDN, Workers, KV storage, D1, R2, Turnstile, and Workers AI (chat and birth-plan help), under contracts appropriate to their role. For birth-plan invitations, related notices, and staff archive copies of finalized PDFs we use Resend to send transactional email (for example secure sign-in links, one-time codes, and official PDF attachments to practice mailboxes) from our verified sending domain. Staff mobile notifications use the Signal messaging service (Signal Foundation) as described above. We use Google LLC for Google Analytics (traffic measurement on the public marketing site) as described above. We may also disclose information when required by law. Formal HIPAA business associate agreements are not in place with these vendors on our current plans; we apply encryption, access controls, and retention practices described here regardless.

Your rights and deletion requests

You may request access, correction, or deletion of chat, lead, or birth preferences information you provided by emailing hello@frontrangedoula.com. We will confirm your request and delete or correct the information within 30 days where applicable. You can stop using the chat at any time. Session-only storage in your browser is cleared when you close the tab; birth-plan session cookies expire when the session ends or you leave the secure area for long enough for the cookie to expire.

Children

This site is for adults seeking doula support. Our doula services are intended for people age 18 and older; we do not knowingly offer birth support to minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
